Specialty Medical Supplies, Inc., a Florida-based manufacturer of disposable medical devices, was awarded by TUV Rheinland on December 5th, 2005, the ISO 9001:2000 certification, ISO13485:2003 certification, for its 100% wholly owned subsidiary near Beijing, China. The certification scope covers "Manufacturing & Sale of Disposable Lancets, Lancing Devices & Alcohol Prep Pads”. The above certifications demonstrate the company’s adherence to the most recent and up to date comprehensive manufacturing & quality standards for the design and manufacture of its diabetic disposable & point of care testing products, at its China manufacturing facility. The CE Mark certification will now enable SMS to sell their medical devices on the European Union market, to include well over 25 member countries in 2006.
